HSE Delegation Attends Sixth Session of Russian‑Vietnamese Commission on Education, Science and Technology Cooperation
In early December, Andrian Vlakhov and Semyon Voytov, HSE International Office members, visited Hanoi. During the trip, they held a number of working meetings and participated in the Sixth Session of the Russian‑Vietnamese Commission for Cooperation in Education, Science and Technology. The session was held at the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam on 2 December 2025. During the meeting, representatives from leading universities and government agencies of both countries discussed the development of scientific and educational cooperation.
Andrian Vlakhov, Director of the Centre for Export of Educational Services, delivered a presentation titled “On Joint Linguistic and Ethnological Expeditions”. Special attention was given to progress in developing the Joint Research Institute between HSE University and Vietnam National University (VNU).
Vietnam has been a strategic partner of Russia for many years, and the importance of this partnership continues to grow. At HSE University, we fully share the value of the relationship between our countries, which is why we are actively developing cooperation with Vietnamese scientific and educational organizations, constantly elevating its level. A key project in this direction is the establishment of the Joint Research Institute with VNU. We are working closely with our Vietnamese partners on this initiative and are confident that the Institute will soon begin full‑fledged operations — to the benefit of Russian and Vietnamese science and education, as well as HSE University and our friends in Hanoi.
The HSE delegation also visited several partner universities in Hanoi:
- the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (part of VNU);
- the University of Economics and Business (part of VNU);
- the National Economics University of Vietnam;
- the Banking Academy of Vietnam.
During meetings with Vietnamese colleagues, the parties discussed both ongoing and planned joint research projects. Particular attention was paid to student exchange programmes and summer schools.
